The RHS MCJROTC Program fields a male and female Physical Training (PT) Team that competes in five Cascade Mountain League (CML) competitions throughout the year. The PT Team competes at the same CML Competitions that the Drill Team and Marksmanship Team do. We also try to compete in one or two PT competitions that are conducted at our home station. The results are then mailed to the hosting organization. The National MCJROTC conducts a qualifying PT competition conducted at home stations. The qualifying teams are then provided funding to compete at a central location such as San Diego CA to compete with all other MCJROTC teams in the country.
The PT competitions consist of three events. A mile run, pushups, and crunches. PT practices are typically conducted after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the competitive season.
The RHS MCJROTC PT Team placed second in the Cascade Mountain League during the 2017-2018 competitive season. The CML consists of JROTC Teams in OR and WA that represent fourteen different High Schools.
